Canadian Gas Association and QUEST
Louis Marmen is Director, Gas Markets with the Canadian Gas Association since 2007. He drives the Association efforts to identify market growth opportunities, develop policy objectives and promote natural gas’ role in a sustainable energy future. He has been part of the CGA’s efforts to develop and launch QUEST – Quality Urban Energy Systems of Tomorrow, a multi-stakeholders initiative to accelerate the adoption of an integrated approach to provide energy services in Canadian communities.
Previous to his work with the Canadian Gas Association, Louis has served for 26 years with Natural Resources Canada where he developed policies and managed programs in renewable energy and energy efficiency, including as Director at the Office of Energy Efficiency where he developed strategies and managed programs designed to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions of housing, buildings and equipment.
Louis received his B.A. in Architecture from the Université de Montréal and his Master in Business Administration from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal. He is member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
