MBASA Executive

President – Siddharth Kapoor

Siddharth is a full-time student in the Intensive MBA program and he previously completed his specialised BBA in Finance and Marketing at the University of Houston. In addition, Siddharth has worked in the US in Business Development and worked in the West Africa region in the consumer goods market to launch popular brands like Kellogg’s in the West African countries. Siddharth wishes to leverage his newly acquired knowledge and skills from the MBA experience and his past experience in order to pursue a career in Consulting.


Vice President – Tim Gaetz

Tim is in the English MBA Professional program.  He works as a Marine System’s Engineer for the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN).  He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada.  His most recent posting was with the Materiel group as the Platform Manager for the RCN’s Auxiliary and Small Boat fleets.  He has had at-sea postings based out of both Halifax and Esquimalt.  Tim is pursuing the Telfer MBA for professional advancement opportunities within the Department of National Defense.


Treasurer – Caolan Walsh

Caolan is a full-time student in the intensive MBA program. He previously completed his M.D. through the University of Sherbrooke at a satellite campus in Moncton NB (2011). He relocated Halifax NS to complete a five year residency in General Surgery (2016). During his PGY-4 & PGY-5 year, he was elected as chief resident for the division of General Surgery. Caolan moved to Ottawa to complete a one year Fellowship in Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery at The Ottawa Hospital. He would like to join the Ottawa Hospital as full time academic staff with a non clinical focus on health administration and operation room finances.


Secretary – Rohan Vaidya

Rohan Vaidya is a full-time student in the intensive MBA program. Rohan has a Chemical Engineering degree followed by diploma in International Business. He has 4 years of experience in a sales and business development roles in various engineering sectors such as water treatment, specialty chemicals and industrial packaging. At his previous company, he was handling international marketing in Asia, Africa and Middle East. Rohan wants to leverage the technical knowledge, skills acquired during professional experience along in cohesion with his MBA at Telfer to pursue a career in strategic marketing and consulting.


Social Director – Manoj Raghupathy

Manoj is a full-time intensive MBA cohort student. Soon after completing his undergraduate degree in Electronics & Communication in 2008, he started working in an Information Technology industry. His last job was in Oracle on the Software as a Service(SaaS) applications. He is a fun-loving and compassionate person. He is passionate about trying out new things and bringing out innovative solutions to the problems faced in technology industry. During his spare time, he has taken part in organizing the events such as fund raising for Non Profit organizations, and conducting quizzes/fun events in corporate events. Fundraising Director – Jujhar Singh

Jujhar Singh is a passionate and enthusiastic Intensive MBA candidate with 4 years of experience in IT industry. Besides working in a professional industry, his experience in non-profits and fundraising has given him a wide range of skills to help grasp new things in a quick and efficient manner to deliver measurable results. Growing up, Jujhar was immersed in volunteering and giving back to the community. He has been assisting in the initiatives such as ‘Nanhi Chaa’ and ‘Swatch Bharat Abhiyan’ in India. In addition, He has been Member of team of Alumni of Punjabi University, Patiala that helps students in creating resumes and applying for opportunities.These roles helped Jujhar to learn to network with people, keeping his viewpoint, understanding others perspective and further motivated him to work in fundraising and volunteering activities.

MBA Games Coordinator (Full time) – Emily MacKay

Emily is a full-time student in the MBA Intensive program.  She is a professional engineer with over five years of experience working as an environmental consultant, having completed her undergraduate degree in environmental engineering from the University of Guelph.  Emily brings association experience to the MBASA as she has served on the Board of Directors of the Air & Waste Management Association Ottawa Valley Chapter for over four years. MBA Games Co-director (Part time) – Ammar Riaz

Ammar is a part-time student in the Professional MBA Program at Telfer and a twice-over uOttawa alumnus (BASc Electrical Engineering and MEng Engineering Management). He works in Ottawa’s high-tech sector and also serves as a Global Well-being Co-coordinator at his workplace, where he’s responsible for promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among employees.  He’s looking forward to building a high-performing team and representing Telfer at the 2018 MBA Games.


Class Representative (Full Time) – Chinmaya Mohapatro

Chinmaya is a full time student in the intensive MBA program and a part time Senior Chip design engineer. Previously, he worked as a team lead in Semiconductor industry for 6 years. During his career, he worked in the USA, Japan, Singapore and Canada and led multiple projects to success. He brings in his international experience and management skills to the MBA cohort and looks forward to combine this with newly acquired knowledge from the program to springboard his career.


Class Representative (Professional MBA – 1st Year) – Gayatri Nanda

Gayatri is a full-time student in the Professional MBA program and she previously completed her BSc in Marketing and Psychology at the Pennsylvania State University. She has previously worked with a multi-format conglomerate in the Middle East. During her tenure, she led several initiatives in understanding consumer behavior and impetus behind purchasing decisions of the global consumer landscape of the Middle East & North African region. Upon knowledge and skill acquisition during her time at Telfer, she would like to work in the Consumer Market Research or Consumer Relationship Management field.
