President – Sidharth Mahajan

Sidharth is a full-time Intensive MBA student and holds a bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines). His professional experience ranges from working for an international steel major in its raw materials division (coal and iron ore mines) to a tech-based hospitality startup in India. Sidharth plans to leverage the MBA experience to build high-performance networks and acquire a global business perspective. He is an avid trekker and is passionate about climbing the 7 Summits. 

As the next leap, he is enthusiastic to have a progressive career in Management Consulting. 

 


Vice President – Shouvanik Dey

Shouvanik Dey. Vice President. MBA Students' AssociationShouvanik is a full-time student in the MBA Intensive program.  He is a passionate Marketing professional with 7 years of experience in Digital Marketing Strategy, CRM & Customer Experience. He has previously worked several B2C & B2B industries and has managed multiple cross-domain teams across different markets. Along with his MBA, Shouvanik is working as a Research Assistant on the subject of Philanthropy in Marketing. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication, and wishes to pursue a career in marketing and strategy after his MBA. His non-geeky passions include dancing Salsa and Bachata.

 


Treasurer – Victor Rodriguez

Victor Rodriguez is an MBA candidate from the Intensive program. He has a Bachelor in International Relations and his professional experience is focused on international trade and logistics. He has 6 years of experience in the oil and refined products trading industry in Mexico and is looking forward to develop his career after completing his MBA program.

 


Secretary – Shivani Mishra

Shivani Mishra is a full time MBA candidate with over 7 years of  work experience into Operations-Quality Management, Project coordination, and Research and Development. She is an Electrical engineer by degree and a Mechanical engineer by choice which leveraged her to innovate and develop patent. She was an avid participant and coordinator for many corporate events and ESOP in her previous company. She contributed for AWIM (A world into motion- A global initiative for student learning). Few of her remarkable contribution in her past working environment were driving  special projects like people competency enhancement, event management, and fun at work initiatives, which gave her an immense opportunity to connect with people. In the MBASA, she is excited to gain similar learning experience in a global conglomeration.Her areas of interest encompasses Strategy, Leadership, and Quality Management.Her future ambition is to work into an analytical and strategic role.Passionate about Pets and creative stuff.


Social C0-Director – Professional MBA (2017 French Cohort) – Sanane Behi

Sanane also known as Cedric, is part of the French MBA professional program. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialisation in Accounting. He works for Scotiabank as a Customer Service Consultant with a focus on Credit cards. Sanane has committed to put his skills and experience to coordinate entertaining events that will enchant all MBA students. He is looking forward to a terrific academic year.

 

 


Social Co-Director – Intensive MBA – Abhilash Menon

Abhilash is a Full-time MBA (Intensive) candidate at the Telfer School of Management. He is an entrepreneur and has extensive experience in helping brands with their Digital marketing and web strategies. His expertise lies in Search Marketing, Social Media & Influencer marketing, and Web Analytics with a focus on brand development and digital transformation. He is passionate about airplanes and loves Rock music.

 


Fundraising Director – Daman Preet Singh

Damanpreet Singh is a passionate and enthusiastic MBA(intensive) candidate. He is a Computer Science engineer and has 4 years of work experience in IT industry. Back home, Daman was immersed in various volunteering activities. He has volunteered in the initiatives such as ‘Arpan’ and ‘Teach For India’ in India. In addition, Daman takes active participation in various extracurricular activities too. He was a member of dance and cricket team of his college. He is really excited to be a part of MBASA.

 


External Relations Director – Gayatri Nanda

Gayatri is a full-time student in the Professional MBA program and she has completed her BSc in Marketing and Psychology at the Pennsylvania State University. She has previously worked with a multi-format conglomerate in the Middle East. During her tenure, she led several initiatives in understanding consumer behavior and impetus behind purchasing decisions of the global consumer landscape of the Middle East & North African region. Upon knowledge and skill acquisition during her time at Telfer, she would like to work in the Consumer Market Research or Consumer Relationship Management field.

 


MBA Games Co-Director – Professional MBA (2017 Cohort) – Marianne Pelletier

Marianne is a full-time student in the Professional MBA program.  She has years of extensive experience as an event planner; coordinating volunteers, managing budgeted resources, responding to vendors and working closely with sponsors. Marianne brings her planning experience to the MBASA and she is looking forward to planning the 2019 MBA Games.

 


MBA Games Co-Director – Intensive MBA – Rahul Ahuja

Rahul is a Full-Time student in the MBA Intensive program. He is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Professional with diverse experience in shipping and supply chain industry. He has worked with big firms such as Sea-Span Ship Management and DHL in Operation and Quality Management functions. He has his professional degree in Marine Engineering. He is also a volunteer of GSAED University Affairs Committee and is keen engaged with volunteering campaigns with “Reach out Volunteers” and “Volunteer Eco Students Abroad”. He is passionate for sports and member of University of Ottawa Triathlon Club. As a person he values human networks and looks forward to further promote the association’s values and contribute with best of his ability through his strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.

 


Class Representative – Professional MBA (2017 Cohort) – Ammar Riaz

Ammar is a part-time student in the Professional MBA Program at Telfer and a twice-over uOttawa alumnus (BASc Electrical Engineering and MEng Engineering Management). He works in Ottawa’s high-tech sector and also serves as a Global Well-being Co-coordinator at his workplace, where he’s responsible for promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among employees. He’s also an ‘all seasons’ runner and a yoga enthusiast.

 


Class Representative – Professional MBA (2017 French Cohort) – Patrick Bériault

Patrick is a young dynamic health professional with a passion for sports and social activities. He had the opportunity to get involved in organizing the 2018 MBA Games this past January as VP Athletics. Through the Games, he managed to make connections with young professionals within his program and across Canada. His goal this year is to continue solidifying these connections and bridging the gap between hi program and the rest of the MBA cohorts.


Class Representative – Intensive MBA (2018 Cohort) – Yu Leng

Yu Leng is a full time student in the intensive MBA program. Before she pursued MBA journey, she had worked as a journalist for 5 years and as PR manager for nearly 2 years, those experiences empower her excellent interpersonal and communication skills. She is experienced in managing and motivating teams and in building partnerships. She has committed to bringing her experience and skills to MBASA.

Class Representative – Professional MBA (2018 Cohort) – Amogh Attri

Amogh is in the MBA professional class of 2018. He holds a bachelor’s in technology with a focus in electronics and communication. As an engineer he has 3.5 years of experience working on multiple projects in the aerospace domain.  Most recently he was working as a technical consultant with client UTC Aerospace systems to manufacture and deliver test systems to test aerospace products. Amogh wants to leverage his technical skills and acquire business acumen through the MBA to move to a consulting and strategy role. Apart from work Amogh has been involved in extracurricular activities throughout his college and is enthusiastic about sports, fitness, music and public speaking. He looks forward to a great academic year ahead as a part of the MBASA.
