Profile: Originally from Espanola, Ontario, Neil is a third-year Commerce student specializing in Finance at the Telfer School of Management. Within the Telfer Capital Fund, he is an analyst in the Financials sector. Neil’s interest in finance grew while working in the accounting department of the Domtar Espanola division during secondary school. This past summer, he completed an internship with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. Neil looks to gain more exposure to capital markets by pursuing an internship in the field this year. Outside of academics, Neil enjoys keeping fit, following and playing sports, as well as enjoying the outdoors through camping, fishing and hunting.

Born in Australia but raised in Winnipeg, Rushika has found her way to Ottawa for her education and to pursue her passion for finance. Profile: Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Pierre-André continued his studies in his home city and is currently a third-year student at the Telfer School of Management, pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce specialized in Finance.
With a long-standing interest in business and no outlet to develop his passion in high school, Pierre-André has enjoyed what the Telfer program has had to offer. He actively works towards growing his knowledge, sharpening his skills in finance and looks forward to continuing to do so while contributing to the Telfer Capital Fund.
In addition to the fund, Pierre-André holds the position of Vice-President of finance with the Telfer Law Society. Outside of his studies and extracurricular activities, during his spare time, Pierre-André enjoys a good non-fiction book, outdoor (backcountry) activities and spending time with family and friends.

Nourhan heard about the Capital Markets program from her peer mentor in her first year and it immediately captured her interest. She since has been researching and learning about finance which led her to start working on her Canadian Securities Course that she is currently pursuing. It also pushed her to learn more about the industry by seeking mentors who pursue different careers in finance.
Other than her passion for finance, Nourhan is interested in languages. She hopes to speak 4 languages by the age of 40. She is also a fan of extreme sports; she has been skydiving and zip lining this year.

Profile: Jasdeep is currently a third-year student of the Honours Bachelor of Commerce program with a specialization in finance. Jasdeep’s interest in finance arose in the 8th grade after completing a finance course through the Mini-Enrichment Program at the University of Ottawa. This led her to join the Telfer Capital Fund as an analyst for the Energy/Utilities sector and to be a part of the Capital Markets Program. During the Summer, Jasdeep completed her Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and worked as an Environmental Operations Clerk in the Public Works and Environmental Services Department, at the City of Ottawa. Jasdeep is an avid reader and is always looking to learn something new.

Profile: Born and raised in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, China, Jiacheng’s solid academic background and strong interests in Economics and Business during high school in Toronto led him to pursue a finance degree at the University of Ottawa. Unsure of what his future career path should look like, he joined DECA and Telfer Finance Society. After participating in a number of case competitions and networking events during the first and second year, he decided to get involved with equity research and potentially risk management at Telfer Capital Fund.
This last summer, Jiacheng passed his Canadian Securities Course while completing a 5-week teaching assistant internship in Beijing, China. He is covering the Telecommunication Sector as well as assisting with the re-evaluation of current holdings in Energy and Utility sectors this semester. In his spare time, Jiacheng would learn new recipes in his kitchen, play video games, or travel to a different city.
