\"\"<\/a>The Telfer Health Transformation Exchange (THTex) welcomed over 30 health professionals and academics on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 for a Communities of Practice in Action Workshop.<\/p>\n

After brief introductions from Professor Wojtek Michalowski and Dr. Michael Fung-Kee-Fung, CoP Champions shared their experiences and spoke to the successes and gaps within their CoPs.<\/p>\n

Over the course of the workshop, we heard from:<\/p>\n

The Colorectal Cancer CoP \u2013 Dr. Robin Boushey, Colorectal oncology Surgery, The Ottawa Hospital<\/p>\n

The Lung Cancer CoP \u2013 Dr. Donna Maziak, Thoracic oncology surgery, The Ottawa Hospital<\/p>\n

The Urology CoP \u2013 Dr. Chris Morash, Urologic oncology Surgery, The Ottawa Hospital<\/p>\n

The Melanoma CoP \u2013 Dr. Carolyn Nessim, Surgical Oncologist, The Ottawa Hospital<\/p>\n

The Breast CoP \u2013 Dr. Angel Arnaout, Breast oncology Surgery, The Ottawa Hospital<\/p>\n

The Medical Imaging CoP \u2013 Dr. Blair MacDonald, Medical Imaging, The Ottawa Hospital<\/p>\n

These insightful presentations provided opportunities for clinicians, Telfer professors and THTex to collaborate and exchange ideas and expertise to further the success of the CoPs and support continued engagement and innovation.<\/p>\n

Opportunities to leverage expertise from the business school were plentiful and we look forward to the next steps for the CoPs and how health professionals and academics can work together to pursue a common goal of improving and transforming healthcare delivery.<\/p>\n
