With the increasing proliferation of digital technologies in business, cyber attacks also continue to grow in volume and sophistication. To remain vigilant against such attacks, many organizations are turning to artificial intelligence (AI) technologies such as deep learning and natural language processing to improve threat intelligence, prediction, and protection.

The Smart Cyber research group at CBAP conducts applied research with the aim to help organizations design, develop and use AI technologies to improve incident detection, reduce attack surface, decrease breach impact, and minimize successful attacks. We also conduct conceptual and empirical research to investigate managerial and technological drivers and barriers, and organizational best practices in the implementation and institutionalization of AI technologies for cyber security.
